 My name is Mu and I create under the pseudonym 'Kalopsyana' from Kalopsia: The Illusion that things are More Beautiful than they ARE
I am a self-taught artist passionate about the Arts since My childhood.
I acquired my know-how by exploring Artistic, Mixed-media and Artisanal techniques from Various horizons, Multicultural, from several creative and Historical Movements such as Painting in all these forms, drawings (having an attraction for faces and Human Bodies), Sculpture, Clay, Wood, Cellular Concrete and also Papier mâché, the Assembly of Various Recycled Materials such as:
Plastic Objects and Bags, Cardboard Boxes, Paper, Egg boxes, Food Packaging, Stoppers, Straws, Fabrics, Wools, fFelt, Jewelry, Children's toys, Old second-hand objects.
A bit of an Alchemist, I like to Play with these Materials while trying to invent or reinvent new processes.
I use Natural products (Tea, Coffee, Vegetable Peel, Sands, Crushed Stones, Plants, Tree branches, Roots, Trunk, Leaves, Pine cones ...).
I like to mix products: paints, cements, concrete, sands, plaster
With what I find, I create mix-media installations, so that my works are visible on different facets (We can turn around and discover hidden secrets, this makes people curious).
I also do artistic journals, painting on canvas or on wood, pyrography as well as objects, jewelry with many materials that I assemble either by sewing, or with glue, nails, screws according to my desires. All of my works have a hidden meaning.
I like the idea that people find (or not) the CODE of My Work by making their own DEFINITION.
I highlight my work by staging my works.
My computer graphics training on software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) allowed me to master this sense of the Images.
I recently decided to do Video Editing and Music, in order to bring another dimension to My Art. I design the sounds for create My Strange Music
My little laboratory is filled with little Treasures that shape My Imagination and My Madness. I tell myself Stories to invent My World filled with oppositions.
I will take advantage of the opening of my channel to bring my works to life through videos that I will realize and share.
I tell myself stories to Create My World filled with Oppositions, Mystery, Questions about the Meaning of Life under a principle of Sacred Ritual.
Do not be fooled by Appearances, I invite You to discover My Univers. Imperfections but trivial things can be of immense value if You know how to Illuminate them.
