 What is art for me? “A poem expressed in colours”
My name is Barbara Trapani, I was born, live and work in the extreme west of Liguria.
A magical place, which for centuries has enchanted countless painters who have frequented it.
Just to name two: the eternal and ethereal Monet and the master Giuseppe Balbo, originally from the place.
What I try to express through my paintings is my inner self and strength.
My female portraits are portraits of souls, sometimes restless, which enclose in their gaze love and melancholy, poetry and sometimes anger, which is innate in each of us.
I graduated from the art school of Imperia specializing as Master of Art and Decorator.
I study and assimilate the painting of the master Van Gogh, my favorite painter, which allows me an introspective reading of my works.
This love for research stimulates me to ever more tenacious pictorial evolutions, touching realism and also in some ways contemporary hyperrealism. Very technical and difficult pictorial currents.
Over time I attend courses, workshops to try to "clarify" more and more my world full of magic and colors.
