 Kamil Niewiński, born in Poland in 1994, is an artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. His artistic focus centers around the human and animal form, prominently showcased in his paintings. Within this medium, he has developed a consistent avenue for articulating his thoughts and emotions.
Nature serves as a wellspring of inspiration for Kamil Niewiński. He keenly observes and learns from it, attentively listening to scientists, naturalists. He seeks within nature's realm symbols, truths, and universal messages. In recent years, he has delved into folk tales, legends, and myths, interweaving them with a contemporary queer artistic perspective. The characters he portrays often transcend conventional norms, defying gender categorization. In his works, we can find classic tales and myths, about love, but with non-heteronorative protagonists. His depictions exude both sensuality and sexuality. Each painting serves as an analysis of cultural and classic motifs, transformed into a personal and emotional story.
