Yoshimi was born in Fukui and practiced calligraphy since she was 6 years old, but when she got married, she separated ways with calligraphy. However, she became interested in an interior calligraphy article, and knocked on the doors of a gallery in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. It was interesting for her that interior calligraphy required not only the techniques of calligraphy, but also a good sense and expressiveness. The delicate and beautiful world created by one stroke cannot be rewritten. Lifestyles have changed, and the Japanese culture of calligraphy is no longer familiar, but she believes that if the work matches the contemporary space as art, it can attract the attention of people around the world. Freed from the shackles and a brush in hand, she creates calligraphy works that present a beautiful landscape and scene in the mind’s of those who see it.Currently encouraged to stay home, it would be her greatest joy if she can deliver an oasis to the mind and heart of those who come across her artworks. |
