 Nicolas is a French-Swedish painter who started his art journey 2020. Mainly painting abstract motives in layers, he is exploring the balance between chaos and order on his canvas. His carrier within revenue management and analytics has most certainly contributed to his fascination for details, systems, and geometries. Even though it might come through his paintings, the true motivation to his art carrier however is the end of his passion for Theatre. After many years on stage and behind the stage, one theatre company in France and one in Sweden, years of experiments from street clown to improvisation and direction, he simply tried the opposite of words. Art in general and painting in particular took over his passion where words came to an end.
He collects most of his inspiration from the inside and from the human behaviour. Starting a painting without any clear goal, his motivation gets clearer the more layers he paints. The more he changes direction of his work, the more he trusts his creative process as he knows it gets him closer to the inside. Thoughts, ideas, emotions, conversations, images, situations, people… so much life happening all the time around influencing the direction of his painting. The most fasinating for him at the end of the process is that the final canvas is often bigger than him.
