 The work of Elizabeth Arias is based on Colombian folklore, it is a work full of splendor, light, joy and color, where the tropics, their beauty and exuberance capture the viewer's eye.
Exhibited collections: Colombian Pacific Folklore, Wayúu faces, Still lifes exalting the pre-Columbian ethnic groups of Colombia with vessels and musical instruments. The palenqueras, represented with native women from both coasts of Colombia with tropical fruits. Pre-Columbian figures and symbols from Colombia, made in mixed techniques with oil on canvas, impasto, palette knife, acrylic and metallic acrylic.
Elizabeth Arias has exhibited the color of her work in New York, New Jersey, Miami, Milan-Italy, Palestine and at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France, that temple of art where very few have a place.
Likewise, she has participated in numerous exhibitions in Colectivo and with IKARUS Gallery Cultural Program Inc.
She has simultaneously worked as a graphic designer, digital illustrator and photographer. She has positioned several written media in New York. Her specialty is interactive digital publishing with social networks and websites.
In 1991, she traveled to the United States, invited by the North American Embassy in Colombia, to a fair for graphic designers and printers in Chicago, USA.
She was born in Cali, Colombia. Her drawing and painting marked her childhood, winning children's competitions. She studied Applied Arts, excelling in the mastery of color, drawing, mixed techniques, charcoal, oil and watercolor. Self-taught she explored mixed techniques.
She has received countless recognitions, certifications and proclamations from New York City Council Citation, Newark NJ, the Chancellery of the Colombian Consulate in Newark and the Colombia Nos Une program; The Dominican Commissioner of Culture of the USA; The Hispanic Heritage Parade Committee, Inc. And the Art Exhibition-Contemporary Art Salon-Carrousel du Louvre-Paris France October 21-22-23, 2022 and in 2023 she exhibits alone on stand B72 of the Contemporary Art Salon-Carrousel du Louvre.
